Hi, I’m back. I've had a reasonably good holidays season but I’m thankful they’re over . It can be a bit stressful trying to juggle work, celebrating Christmas and meeting up with friends.
Christmas was a bit of a mess. I found out a few days before that my request to have Christmas off was forgotten due to the manager who was doing the schedule quitting on thanksgiving. I had to explain to them that I needed to go to church on Christmas. I ended up getting to go into work later so everything was ok.
I got only a few gifts this year due to tighter budgets but I was generally pleased with what I got. I got a DVD on the biography on the earth. The host was from Scotland and had a wonderful accent, even though I need subtitles to understand certain words. I got the Northern Italy doll from Hetalia. I got two DS games. The new Professor Layton and the Jamie Oliver cooking game. If you don’t know Jaime is a British TV chief. In the game you can get recipes to make food in your real kitchen. I’m not sure if I’ll make any, it is British food after all. (crispy procuitto (Italian ham) eww)
My sister got me a digital video camera, I just need to learn how to work with it. It’s pretty cool. It takes regular photos along with the video, it can be plugged into the TV, be used as a web cam and upload to youtube. I got Silent Hill: Shattered memories for the will. So far it’s ok, but I’m not happy that you can’t fight the monsters and the game psychosocially profiles you and uses what it learns against you.
I don’t really celebrate new years, and I usually work on the day. So I have nothing really to say about it. I find it to be a depressing holiday because of resolutions. I don’t drink so I don’t go to any parties. Also to me Resolution= things never done, so I never make them.
There are thing I want to do but usually I don’t get to.
There are things I’d really want to do this year thought. I’d like to get a new job since my current one is giving me less hours and over working me when I am there. I’d also like to go back to school maybe to be a geologist or something. I also want to post more and write the stories that are sitting in the back of my mind. The problem is I usually become lazy when I come home from work because I’m tired or miserable.
I know nobody want to hear about my problems. Heck I doubt anyone reads my posts. I will try to though post interesting facts at least once a week. So if you are reading this please pick form one of these topic: 1: Paleontology/prehistoric life 2: Japanese Culture 3: History 4: Interesting books I have read. If no one picks any I will pick one myself. I just hope someone will read it.
